WeatherWatcher: Wind Advisory issued, chance of wet marginal snow

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a High Wind Advisory for Tuesday morning not unlike the breezy conditions we experienced Sunday evening except a little bit stronger.

Gusts are expected to reach the 40-45mph range which could cause some local power outages in the area. The winds are expected to peak between 6am and 4pm.

There is a slight chance of snow in the convergence zone late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Shoreline and Lake Forest Park fall right near the southern third of the convergence zone range. It is possible for a convergence zone band to form Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. It could become strong enough to bring the snow level down to the surface in the area if the precipitation is heavy enough. Accumulations are expected to be zero to light, we might see up to 2 inches of wet slushy snow. Confidence is not high enough to issue any kind of winter weather watch or advisory at this time.

Wednesday mid morning we start to dry out and get cold, lows in the 20's, highs near 40. A storm system might brush by this weekend with a renewed chance of wet/marginal snow or rain and snow mixed showers. It's not a high possibility right now, but there is almost a chance we could see snow on the ground for Christmas.
