Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
Monday school was cancelled due to the snow storm overnight. Our Superintendent sent teachers emails explaining the process of how districts decide to close. While this is not an easy choice to make it essentially comes down to safety. Safety of children, parents, teachers, and school staff. It is extremely difficult to lose a day of instruction for everyone. While Monday afternoon was warm enough to get outside and in the snow the predictions for the rest of the week don't seem as warm. Should another snow day come up the question is how will your child spend their time? Many studies have shown the damage the amount of screen time can do to children's development. So limiting video game time on a snow day would be difficult. Here are some other options that can help increase brain development and increase imagination.1. Read a book.
